ESTENSON-AKRE / ROSTVOLD
I am seeking information on Elen Anna Rostvold and her husband Ole Estenson Akre. They may have come to the Preble Twp., Choice, MN area with her brother, Ole Rostvold. I don't know if Ole Estenson Akre was already established in the area when the Rostvolds arrived or if he came with them. Ole Estenson married Elen Anna Rostvold on 10 Dec 1873, at the Scheie Lutheran Church, Choice, MN and was a farmer by trade. Ole and Elen's first 3 children were born in Newburg township. They were Edward, Christian, and John Martin. John Martin was born in 1879. Their 4th child was Gilbert, born 6 Dec 1881. I'm not sure if Gilbert was born in Newburg Twp. or in Norman County, MN after the families moved north. Is there someone who could help me by seeing if this family appears in the 1880 census? Also does the name of Ole Estenson Akre appear on any land records at this time? Thanks for any and all help you may be able to give.
